Fishing has been a passion of ours since childhood – from coarse fishing on quiet lakes to sea angling and even tropical blue water adventures. But in recent years, the sea has become our second home – especially from a kayak but also through lure fishing from the shore.

While kayak fishing brought us close to the action, it came with its fair share of frustrations:

• Constant stability concerns (capsizing wasn’t uncommon!)
• The tricky balance of paddling with one hand while managing a
  rod in the other
• Always sitting in water – manageable in the winter with a dry
  suit, but unbearable in the summer
• The chaos of fishing with two rods – putting the paddle down to fight one fish often meant the other line got snagged as you drifted

We loved kayak fishing, but these persistent challenges took the edge off what should have been effortless days on the water.

So we set out to change that.
